Creating a cover has many steps, Art Director Gigi Lau reveals one part of the process at the photo shoot for Maisey Yate’s Part Time Cowboy....
The photographer built the façade of a barn on set, adding hay bale stacks, loose hay and floorboards. Building this on set really helps establish the mood and story, and helps the models get in character.
Models who just met minutes ago have to get close and portray the characters’ intense attraction to each other,for this type of story, it’s all about capturing a natural chemistry on set.
After more than 300 shots, it’s a wrap. We know there are great shots we can choose from.
