5 HEALTHY BREAKFAST TO KICK-START YOUR DAY

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, okay, let me ask, do you? Eating breakfast jump-starts your metabolism and provides you with the energy and nutrients you need to have a happy and  healthy day.
So, why not start your day on the right note with a good breakfast. A good and healthy breakfast should include, Veggies, nuts, fruits and eggs.These food will get your "body-motor" running in the morning and help you resist the urge to overeat later in the day.
 I have put together five healthy breakfast ideas which you can build on to help create the perfect breakfast for you and your family. Make sure you never ever skip breakfast from today. Enjoy the read and have a yummy day

1. Oatmeal with Fruit



This recipe, is great if you are looking for a hot breakfast, oats can take 25 to 30 minutes to make, so if you’re pressed for time, it’s recommended that you make a batch that will last a few days. You can store it in the refrigerator and heat up smaller portions each morning.

Ingredients


    2 cups water
    2 cups low-fat milk
    1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
    1 cup oats
    1 teaspoon unsalted butter (optional)
    2 to 4 tablespoons dried fruit, such as raisins, chopped dried apricots, dried cranberries
    1 to 2 teaspoons honey or brown sugar (more to taste)
    Fresh fruit (such as diced apples,berries or fruits in season).


2. Pancake with Fruits
 Love pancakes and love fruit? How do you feel about mixing the two together?  INGREDIENT

 15g unsalted butter, plus extra for frying    300ml natural yogurt    1 medium free-range egg    2 drops vanilla extract    125g plain flour

    Pinch of ground cinnamon    A little milk (optional)    2 big handfuls any chopped or small fruit, such as peeled and finely chopped ripe pear, apples, banana or frozen berries such as blueberries or raspberries    Vegetable oil, for frying    Maple syrup, for drizzling 
 
           









3. Scrambled Eggs
This recipe is a great breakfast idea best enjoyed alongside French toast, fried yam or boiled potatoes. Whichever your choice is.


 
Ingredients:
• 4 Eggs
• 1 Carrot
• 1 Plum tomato
• ¼ Medium sized Onion 

• 1 tsp. Curry Powder
•2 tbsp. Vegetable oil / olive oil
• ½ Stock Cube
• Salt to taste


4. Sandwich board
 
 
sandwich board contains eggs, cheese, and meat, this dish is a protein lover's dream, one that pairs nicely with fiber-rich dark bread or brown bread. jam to  adds a bit of sweetness. Feel free to swap in your favorite cheese.


5. Granola
 
Granola is a breakfast food and snack food, popular around the world, consisting of rolled oats, nuts, honey, and sometimes puffed rice, that is usually baked until crisp

Ingredients
  8 cups quick-cooking oats
  1 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
 3/4 cup chopped almonds
 1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup barley malt syrup or maltose syrup
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup dried cranberries

Combine the ingredients together on a baking pan,bake until its a little brown and crisp.  serve with yogurt.

    1. Looooolll, ooooosheey!, that's the way to go joor. Will pick pancakes and smoothie from these too though but unfortunately, i usually skip breakfast, especially on weekdays. Let's just say my eating habit is generally poor.

  3. I eat oatmeal as breakfast regularly. Its fast and easy to prepare,add fruits and milk to it and you are good to go.
