WORLD MALARIA DAY 2015

On April 25th people across the globe take part in a wide range of activities to mark World Malaria Day.
But for millions or even billions of people in some part of the world, EVERYDAY IS MALARIA DAY (such as in Nigeria). Today is a day to to reenforce the fight against this killer disease. The theme of this year's world malaria day  is Invest in the future: Defeat malaria.

While huge gains in the fight against malaria have been made in recent years, the disease still has a devastating impact on people’s health and livelihoods around the world, particularly in Africa, where it kills almost half a million children under 5 each year.

We at Society for Safe Motherhood call on well meaning Nigerians to join in this fight against Malaria. We ask that individuals help in their own little way by keeping their surroundings clean at all times so as to aviod the breeding of mosquitoes.

Let us work together to make Nigeria Malaria free.

This message is brought to you by the Society for safe motherhood.
