TO THOSE WE LOST:AN ELEGY BY SEYI LAW AND DENRELE

 Grieving is a part of life,in as much as it is difficult to bear the loss of a loved one it is alright to grieve. most time it is best to share what you are going through with other to ease the pain which most people do by writing a poem.
Over the weekend....

we heard that comedienne seyi law and his wife lost their pattern of tiny feet,the news brought tears to my eyes and i wanted to ask God why but i remembered that he is the only one who has the industry where babies are made. my heart goes out to you and your family seyi, i pray that the laughter of babies shall fill your home

Valentine's day was also the remembrance of singer goldie and her bestie denrele also wrote her a poem. denrele dear its cool to miss her and to remember the fun stuff you guys did together take heart,it will get better.

My heart is blank,
My joy has disappeared,
Anger has become my companion.
The wait is over with a bitter end.
Oh Lord! why does it have to be me?
I am so imperfect and never denied it.

The pains of nine months has amounted to nothing.
We believe so much in you.
How do I console her when I can’t find strength myself?
I thought my feet will dance this season.
I have enlarged my tent in waiting,
But my wait has been hit with sadness.

I don’t want to murmur or complain,
But my emotions are hurt.
Help me to stand Lord.
So, I can always be thankful.
I want to be stronger in praises this period.
I want to hold her hands to comfort her.
Help us to pass this season while standing.

TV personality Denrele today wrote a touching poem for his late best friend, singer Goldie who died shortly after returning from a US trip on the 14th of February, 2013. Please read;

Gone......but where?

I can't call you on the phone,

I can't knock on your door,

No matter how loud I scream, you can't respond. Continue…

I held your hand as you took your last agonizing breath,

You fought with your heart and your soul,

You fought for me and defended me on countless occasions,

but you lost....we lost.

My kids will never know you;

how funny you were,

how generous you were,

how there was nothing that could stop you from giving me anything I was seeking and wanted (how you always knew what I was thinking still shocks me)...except this.

You won't be able to see me walk down the aisle,

You won't see me work up my hustle and take up that job upgrade we always spoke about,

You won't comfort me as life pushes me down.

Where are you ooooo???

I want to hug you and tell you I love you Again,

I want to sit and have olives (You loved them, I hated them but cos of you...I'l eat an entire sack) and sip white wine with the crazy gang catching up on every-every,

I want to laugh and smile the way only you could make me!

I miss you like crazy.....

I just wish I could find you, somewhere out there to let you know!

A thousand times we needed you,

A thousand times we cried for you.

If love alone could have saved you, you would never have died.

A heart of pure gold stopped beating,

Two twinkling eyes closed to rest.
